I have noticed that it´s a big difference in speed when it comes to exporting vs importing projects. Cant it be the same speed for importing it´s the same thing but reversed?

It´s not quite the same thing.

When exporting, the information are taken from a structured database and written to a file. When importing, ETS needs to check the data carefully and structure it the right way.

The structure varies depending on ETS-version and this must be handled during the import even if it takes some time.
