Hi,

I have an ABB USB/S1.1 interface and I cannot set the individual address to it. When I set my communication address as 15.15.255 I am able to change the individual address for other devices on the network but not for the USB device itself. Can anybody help with this?

do you work in ETS3 of ETS4? there's difference in local adapter settings, but basically, you have to give your USB device physical adress, by programming it as local device.

give me the info I asked, and I'll give you full procedure for your ETS version.

Yes, t think you do like to mr.Miro ok, i haven't worked on Abb usb yet, but i think it same to Siemens usb, when u at the start download process, u see a window, in the "access" u choose "Local" is ok.

If you are using ets 3 proffessional, then options->communication->settings.

Thanks for the help. I am using ETS 3 and have somehow made it work since I asked the question! I would very much appreciate the procedure for ETS 3 still as I am not entirely sure what I did to fix the problem! One possible issue was that I had a topology problem - there are 2 line couplers and I had them addressed on the main line rather than on their own line. Not sure if this caused my USB problem though...
