i want to use ipad to control the KNX and AV device, what do i need? |

Well by chosing the lower common feature among AV devices I may say that all of them have an IR receiver. In this case you can use Gira's IR transmitter ( see http://www.knxshop.co.uk/catalog/Catalog.aspx?NavID=000-007-1036-GIR058828). For control KNX via IPAD, or iPhone, there's a bunch of software to name. Here's just a few: m..myhome, Gira Home Server , Iridium Mobile, AV Stumpfl Iseo 2, Aycontrol, EibPort, iKNX. You will also need a connection of your WiFi network , to were your IPAD will connect, to the KNX Bus. And for this case an KNX/IP gateway or Router, like for example the Weinzierl KNX/IP Router ( see http://www.weinzierl.de/de/products/750.html will be needed. Some of the software I mentioned need PC or MAc where the server software is running, some can communicate directly with the KNX/IP gateway after configured. Check with the supplier for details. This is broad answer that you will need to fine tune in accordance to your specifi equipment and KNX instalation. i want to find a methord to control most of the AV device, like TV or DVD, is there a device that can connect the EIB and AV device together ,if not, how can i make the control come true? |

Please state what quind of AV device are you talking about: Controllable via IR? Controlable via RS232 port? Controlable via Ethernet port o WiFi via DLNA? Brand or model may help in the advice that can be provided. EB
do i need any hardware when i control TV DVD or other AV device through aycontrol? is there an universal hareware can connect the AV device with the KNX/EIB system?how about the AMX?
