Mt colleague gave me a copy of ETS3 and i´m trying it out. The KNX-stuff i´ve got is old and simple. an 10 year old Siemens switch actuator that needs data-rail and some pushbuttons wit separate BCU.

What do you recommend as "Starter Kit" to play with?

No ideas at all?

I would recommend a dimmer-actuator and a Multi function RTR-push-button, both from Merten. Then you can explore almost all relevant functions in ETS without paying to much.

Start with pure switching commands, add logics and then try some dimming. When you are testing climate control you can have your lights simulating the control-value both for heating and cooling.

When you understand the possibilities in thoose two products you are ready to go

Good luck!!

Hi Bjork,

I'm a newbie too.. do you advise MERTEN 649315 and 628719?

I was looking at this type of self-made kit.. BERKER 168105 ABB SV/S 30.160.5 ABB SA/S 4.6.1 ABB IPS/S 2.1 HAGER TXA210A ABB US/U 2.2

what do you think about? Do you think this is enough to try to use KNX?

Thank you.

Daniele

I think your equipment will work just fine, my earlier response was most function with least products. I would not recommend an IP-interface though as one and only interface. You will need an USB-interface aswell.
