Are you using the "Partial Download" in ETS3 and does it save time in the long run?

Yes it does, but the device/product must have the address downloaded to it already.

I have found in the past problems with ets3 partial download, so you are better in the long run to do a full download.

depends.

with devices that have short download time, you can't see the difference, but when you have device with download time is more than 20 minutes you can surely see the benefits in time needed. you sometimes can spare more than 15 minutes. there are alse devices that don't allow partial download like GIRA SMARTSensor, but when you click on download it compares versions on device and in ETS and makes partial download anyway. i think it's because it has external ETS plugin for editing parameters.
