I feel LED-lighting is in almost every private house project today and the customers all want it dimmed or needs equipment for color sequenzes. How do you handle this? are you using 1-10V, DALI or swithchdim in combination with KNX or are there other suitable products for connection to KNX? /S |

I have recently tried the new Xitanium drivers from Philips, mains dimmable with standard trailing edge dimmer. It works perfect with the 4x250W KNX dimmer from Merten (649325) even if the load is much lower than the minimum load of the dimmer. No flickering, smooth dimming. Very promising. I can´t find information on philips.com but the Driver is called "Xitanium Led Driver 10W/0,7A- 14V DIM" with the article number "9137 100 536" The driver was shipped together with a 7,5W Ledino spotlight +1 Will try to get it

There's a KNX LED dimmer and sequencer by Austrian company Bilton. There's a module that can work with RGB LED strips and another to work with LED spots. No need to use DMX or DALI gateways. See http://www.bilton.at/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=114&Itemid=118 |

Or this one is sumilair to Bilton but then as a 4 channel dimmer. http://www.team-for-tronics.de/TFT/cms/front_content.php?idcat=140 Good luck! Kind regards, Joep www.d-touch.nl |

I often use 1-10V because of the better application programs compared to DALI gateway. 1-10V is also cheap compared to alternatives when you dont have to many groups. With LED it is easy to hide the drivers centrally beside the distribution board and use very long wires to the lights. Since the wiring between the drivers and controllers then are a small problem 1-10V is even more natural for me. I believe Philips have new drivers controlled by standard trailing edge dimmers. That might be even better if it works good. It keeps the wiring down. |

Rena Electronica (The Netherlands) has developed a system of power supply and led drivers that can be controlled bij KNX. You connect KNX to the power supply. Two wires from the power supply distribute DC power and data to the led drivers. It is a very simple to use system. The dimming is perfect. There are also Halogen drivers available. Yhs system is called Bits2Power (see: www.bits2power.com) |

Embedded Systems manufactures KNX-based LED dimmer&sequencer (3 channels; 5A/channel; scenes; scene player; high PWM frequency providing flicker-free brightness control,..). |
