Many touch display now also offer web functionality. Often the browsers are quit simple and can only display simple web pages. I suggest that we generate a list of pages that fits well with the KNX touch displays. Suggested pages are very welcome, for example weather forecast pages. |

The best way to overcome this problem is to create your own page suited for the limitations in your display. I believe this is a very interesting question and it points out an important issue. Shall KNX displays be used for web-services or shall they be used for stable 24/7 control of your house. Based on my experiences, KNX-displays delivered 5-10 years ago still delivers value to the customers without any service or upgrades at all. That´s not the case with computers. Things will of course change but i prefer a stable built-in device with no, or just basic network support. For browsing i´m satisfied with an Ipod or a Mac. |
